I am a self-taught designer/maker producing my work from my home - a delightful converted coach house situated in the very heart of Helston, an old market town in the south west of Cornwall.

I started Knicky Knitwear in the early 1970's making knitwear designs for adults and soon became an exhibiting member of the Cornwall Crafts Association.  With the arrival of my children my natural progression was to develop children's knitwear.  My most popular designs feature a knitted teddy bear in a pocket or on a cord.  These have now become classics having appealed to children and parents alike for over 25 years, many being sold overseas.

More recently I have experimented with different materials and techniques, one example being a crocheted hammock made of recycled supermarket carrier bags for the 'Inside out' exhibition at Trelissick Gardens, Cornwall.
